TG Lining’s aluminium sound tile helps people with visual impairments to find the boarding place at a bus or tram stop. Of course, boarding markers are combined with guiding strips so that they can be found; the guiding strips lead the travellers to the boarding marker.
The sound tile has an informative function owing to its surface which has a dot profile as well as the sound box which produces a sound different from that of the surrounding pavement. As a result, they can also be discerned extremely well by people with an impaired sense of touch through their sense of hearing. By means of a special pre-treatment, the sound tiles are made anti-slip and corrosion-resistant. Tiles are available in a thick version for installation in a sand bed, and in a thin version for installation in a cement bed.
